ILLtastic's been making beats for 4 and a half years. From Cape Town, South Africa, the self-taught youngster constantly aims for improvement. When he begun he had no experience in production, playing an instrument or music of any sort. Within a year and a half of producing by trial and error he eventually landed his first ever gig at one of Cape Town's most honorable nightclubs, Fiction.

He taught himself DJing on Ableton to be able to play in time. From that performance he instantly exploded onto the local scene racking up an insane amount of gigs at the highest level around his city. Opening for electronic king Far Too Loud twice and playing with Darth & Vader in Feb 2013 are definite highlights. Currently, he is adding a much needed LIVE element to his DJ sets and hence begun playing piano a few months ago.. Expect better things to come as the 22 year old refines his knowledge and skill!
